Summer's Fade

Hard to believe,  but school started back today across many states in America.  Where did Summer go?

As Summer 2012 memories begin to fade like a plane taking off a run way,  I am somewhat sad,  and, yet thankful for the time that was shared along the beach with friends that included long strolls at sunset and quiet morning walks as the sea welcomed sunrise.  The sun , rising up from the ocean's floor like a beacon, proclaims its right to rule the Summer day.

From cotton candy faces to icee freeze frenzies,  the innocence of summer gives way to the drum beats on hundreds of football fields and the march towards winter.

Adios,  Summer 2012, you will long live inside me.
