Beach Bound

I can’t think of a better way to spend these hot, steamy, dog days of summer than loading up my beach gear, packing the cooler and heading oceanfront. It’s a Myrtle Beach tradition and privilege. Lathered down with sunscreen, I can sit before the magnificent Atlantic for hours and welcome in every wave, wade into the water when I need a little cooling off, get fanned by the constant sea breezes and sink into a state of relaxation… I might even nod off in my beach chair for a while. And when I get hungry, I’ll dip into my stash of munchies, and like we say down here, “sandwiches just taste better with a little sand in them.”
