Little Beach Birds

Skittering to and fro, nervously looking back and forth...keeping an eye on the waves approaching their tiny feet.  They don't fly high like the confident soaring seagulls - or have the big beaks and bellies like the pelicans.  Their dotted brown feathers can't compare to the gorgeous white plumes of feathers of the snowy egret.  None of those attributes fell on these little beach birds.  

God made them tiny and sweet, and they are a seaside favorite here in Myrtle Beach.
