Beloved Restaurant Burns Down

Ashes are all that remain of a former seafood restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Around 9:30 pm Saturday night, the Seafare Restaurant building on restaurant row caught fire. By the time firefighters arrived, flames were shooting up through the roof of the restaurant. Over 15 fire trucks and engines were dispatched to the scene but could do little to save the restaurant as the high winds Saturday night made the fire even worse. The fire was so large it could be seen by drivers on Hwy 31 over a mile away.
After several hours the fire department managed to put out the fire before it spread to neighboring buildings, but the only thing that remains of the Seafare are ashes. No one was injured in the course of the fire, as the Seafare restaurant closed down last year. The building was up for lease and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
So did you ever eat at the Seafare? Why do you think the building burned down?
