Whose Coming to Sun Fun 2012?

It might not be until June, but Myrtle Beach is already gearing up for the Sun Fun Festival. The Sun Fun Festivals kicks off the beginning of season in Myrtle Beach typically starting on Memorial Day weekend and running the first week of June.

The festival includes fireworks, vendors, a beer garden, parades, arts and crafts and a slew of celebrities join the festivities.  Last year Arizona Senator John McCain served as the grand marshal of the opening parade. Among last year’s celebrities were Jennette McCurdy, Ariana Grande, Noah and Ethan Munck; all of whom star in shows on Nickelodeon. There were also jet-ski demonstrations and a car show during the 2011 festival. American Idol season 7 runner-up, David Archuleta, headlined the Sun Fun kick-off concert. With that amount of stars in the area, it’s no wonder people are already excited for the 2012 year’s festival.
