Hit TV Show Comes to Myrtle Beach

Elissa Jarvis, Lead Reporter Friday, January 13, 2012

Have a bunch of old stuff lying around in your attic that your great-grandmother left you? Want to know if it’s worth any money? Well here is your chance! Antiques Roadshow, the hit PBS series, will be in Myrtle Beach this June filming three episodes for its next season.

It’s unclear where the show will be setting up in Myrtle Beach, but it will likely be using the convention center, as that is where they set up in most cities. Tickets to the event are free but you have to fill out an application on the shows website to enter into a lottery to win them. Around 6,000 people will win tickets, but Antiques Roadshow says it’s impossible to say what the chances of winning a ticket are, because it’s unclear how many people will enter the raffle. If you’d like to submit a piece of furniture to have appraised, you must live within 50 miles of Myrtle Beach and fill out a form on their website.

So who has old junk lying around their house?
