Local Band Goes Big!

Elissa Jarvis, Lead Reporter Thursday, January 12, 2012

Lovers of the local Myrtle Beach music scene have another reason to cheer! After a four-year hiatus, local rock band Confliction has gotten back together and is releasing a new album. The bands fourth album, Parade the Serpent, features Confliction's standard hard rock hooks that made them so popular, but with more grown-up subjects. They’re still the band that toured alongside Seether and System of a Down, but in the seven years since their last CD released, they have grown up, gotten married and had children and it shows in their music.

Not only is the band releasing a new CD which will be available on I-Tunes on Friday, January 13th, they are having a CD release party right here in town. Confliction will be playing this Friday at Revolutions Night Club at Broadway at the Beach. 21 and up get in free and guests 18-20 have to pay a 10 dollar cover which will also get the a copy of Confliction's new CD. Local Myrtle Beach Bands Doctrine of Ethos and The Izm will be opening up for them.

So who's your favorite rock band?
