Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Gets Extended

The boardwalk in Myrtle Beach is getting an upgrade! Coastal Dining and Entertainment LLC is looking to develop three lots on 14th avenue at Ocean Boulevard, which will extend the boardwalk about two blocks north. Construction is getting underway there today, as crews are demolishing the old Breakwater Inn that currently is located on the lots. Police have the northbound lane of Ocean Boulevard closed in the 14th-15th avenue blocks while the crews are working.
Among the upgrades planned for the area, is a new Mexican restaurant that is set to look like a Spanish-style hacienda. Coastal Dining and Entertainment is hoping to have the new restaurant open in time for Cinco de Mayo. Also proposed for that area is a new municipal park. Locals and tourists have expressed concern with the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, envisioning it to look more like the boardwalk in Seaside Heights, NJ than its current incarnation.
So what do you think they should build on the boardwalk?
