Need Help Keeping Your New Years Resolution?

New Years Eve is right around the corner, have you started thinking about your resolutions yet? If you are like me, most of your New Years resolutions are forgotten by February. So if you need a little help sticking to your resolution this year, don’t worry there is an app for that.
It’s called Aherk! and it makes the user accountable for their resolutions through blackmail. It works like this: First you define a goal that you want to reach. Then the user uploads an embarrassing, unflattering photo that you would never want anyone to see. Then your friends vote to tell Aherk! if you have completed the goal or not. If you fail to reach the goal Aherk! will post that unflattering photo to Facebook. Aherk! essentially blackmails the user to completing their goal because nobody wants an unflattering photo on Facebook. The system isn’t fool-proof; there is always the case that friends and family will vote no on a goal just to mess with the person. But in an era of accountability it’s a nifty little app to have.
So what is your New Years Resolution? And will you be downloading Aherk! to help you out?
