What's Your Favorite Christmas Tradition?

Every family has a Christmas tradition, whether it’s reading the Twas The Night Before Christmas or something slightly more bizarre, those traditions are what make the holidays so much fun. So what’s your favorite family tradition?
My favorite Christmas tradition is a little strange, as my family tends fall towards the more bizarre Christmas traditions. For the last couple years, my mother has bought a special “mystery” Christmas present, drawn a big skull on the wrapping paper and made my sisters and I compete for it.
Yes, you read that right: my mother makes my three sisters and I compete for a Christmas present. The competitions range from trying to get 20 pieces on a Mr. Potato Head, to finding 50 mini-candy canes hidden in our house, to having to empty a tissue box by pulling one tissue out at time with one hand. Sure, it’s slightly bizarre but it’s also a lot of fun and no one can be competitive like siblings. My sisters and I spend Thanksgiving trash talking each other. But it makes for one heck of an entertaining Christmas and frankly I look forward to it every year.
