How Much is College Degree Really Worth?

It used to be that a college degree was the only thing needed to get a good job. But in today’s society, how much is a college degree really worth?
I know I was told by my parents growing up that I needed to do well in school and go to college so that I wouldn’t be flipping burgers the rest of my life. But it seems like with the mindset that everybody needs a college education, it makes it worth so much less. I mean it’s a simple case of supply and demand. If everyone one has a college degree, then it lowers the value on them. I’m not saying that a college degree isn’t useful; I certainly wouldn’t have my job without one. But it seems like in today’s society you need more than that to get a good job. You need experience, critical thinking skills, internships and sometimes you need a Masters Degree or PHD. A basic bachelors degree just seems to be worth so much less than it did 20 years ago.
So what do you think a college degree is worth?
