Is Interactive News Replacing Traditional News?

Which do you prefer: interactive news or standard news? With a million different ways to get news nowadays do you prefer to get it from standard news sources (TV, newspapers) or Interactive sources (Facebook, websites, Twitter)?
For me it’s simple, I prefer interactive news sources. I like being able to leave a comment, or retweet a story that I like. I like to have the option to start a conversation about a story with other readers. I find that I get my news faster that way too. I found out about Osama Bin Laden’s death on my twitter feed, and it allowed me to discuss the repercussions of his death with other people who had vastly different views than mine. Standard news is great for the facts but it doesn’t allow people to start a dialog about what’s going on in our world.
