Is the SAT outdated

The SAT is a standard practice for every High School student thinking about going to college, but does the SAT really measure a person’s ability to do well in college?
For a long time the SAT has been a standard measure for how well a student was prepared for college, but studies have argued time and time again that high school grades are a better predictor than the SAT. Many argue that the SAT only test how well a student can take a 4-hour test on a Saturday morning. The test doesn’t measure a person’s actual intelligence or their motivation to do well in school. I know many people, myself included, who didn't score very well on the SAT but graduated high school and college with honors.
So is the SAT outdated?
