Pure Bred or Shelter Mutt

Do you love dogs? Do you prefer pure breds or shelter mutts?
There are pros and cons to each. With pure bred dogs you know what kind of coat, temperament, and size it is going to be. You also know what diseases the breed prone to get. On the flip side, pure bred puppies can costs upwards of a thousand dollars even more for the newer boutique dogs (think labradoodles). Shelter dogs are a little bit more of a wild card. You can guess what breeds and the size, but mutts tend to be healthier because of the mixed breeding. Shelter dogs are much less expensive and rescues tend to be very loyal dogs. I might be biased since I own two shelter dogs, but I’d rather have them than any pure bred puppy in the world.
So would you rather have a pure bred or a shelter mutt?
