
Here in Myrtle Beach, audiences are so lucky to have the chance to experience a bit of Hawaii brought to us by Chief Kamu's Fire and Hula Shows. Sam "Chief Kamu" Kanekoa is a native Hawaiian from the Waipio Valley on the big island of Hawaii who lives here with his beautiful wife and two daughters. Sam shares traditions such as hula, beautiful costumes, Polynesian music, and the exciting fire knife dance at various locations along the Grand Strand for going on nine seasons.
Spring Maid Beach Resort just announced weekly Hawaiian Luaus featuring Chief Kamu's Fire and Hula Show beginning Sunday, June 10th through August 12th from 6:30 - 9 pm. Guests begin with an authentic Hawaiian Luau Buffet followed by a true Hawaiian Experience, filled with traditional stories and dancing. The evening culminates with Chief Kamu’s daring and dangerous Polynesian Fire Dance.
