Rental Owners Join The Conversation

Join the Conversation, a $212 million dollar, ten year project kicked off Wednesday, June 8th in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with an enthusiastic response. The response was especially surprising from Myrtle Beach rental property owners. Rental property owners have made a $9 billion investment in Myrtle Beach. Over 940 rental property owners joined the conversation on Wednesday's kick off day alone.

There are a total of 40,500 rental property investors in the larger Myrtle Beach area and, as of this writing, 16,312 have joined the conversation on the Myrtle Beach Facebook page. Most of these investors allow a rental management firm to rent their property to you, our fans, on their behalf.
"We have been mailing post cards to this influential client base, prior to our kick off, asking them to join the conversation," said Britt El-Kheddiwi, Myrtle Beach Facebook Anchor. "As these investors have the most at risk in Myrtle Beach, we are encouraging them to stay more informed and hear what each of you have to say."
Rental owners are very important in the conversation because they can work to help Myrtle Beach hold elected city officials, rental companies, and, even the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber accountable. Issues recently surrounding the ongoing F.B.I. and I.R.S. investigations of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber have largely been met with silence by the current Chamber Board with no call for an internal investigation to clear the Chamber's good name. The local Myrtle Beach newspaper continues to print ongoing facts around this investigation that should demand a call for such an internal inquiry.
Join the conversation 2011 invites everyone invested: tourists, locals, businesses, rental companies, and area hotels into the conversation. Only through such conversations can we build a better Myrtle Beach.
Wednesday was a great launch and the conversation continues. We encourage you to invite all of your friends into Join the Conversation 2011.
