Found Something Fresh Today
As most locals know, I really love burgers. However, I can be fussy about where I choose to eat as I don’t usually hang out at fast food joints.
But it just so happened that a client of mine called me today and said he would like to do lunch just off where Highway 544 meets Highway 17 bypass in Surfside. He suggested we try a place called BURGERFI.
“Never heard of it,” I said. “I am a huge fan,” he said, “and you will be too after today.”
What can I say? The place and the service was “off the chain”.
After my meeting, I stepped back to the counter to let the staff know how great the meal was. To my surprise, the franchise owner actually came out and gave me the history on the place.
Turns out, they only serve beef from grass fed, free range cattle with no antibiotics, no hormones, no steroids. AND everything in the restaurant is made of recycled materials, even the tables, chairs, and ceiling fans.
When I visited their website later today, a slogan I saw was LESS BURGER JOINT, MORE GOURMET RESTAURANT.
As a Myrtle Beach local, whose family moved to the area in 1767, I can tell you this is one place where the burger is a good as the sizzle.
If you do want to go, and believe me you do, BURGERFI is located at 106 Sayebrook Pkwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588 just alongside Highway 544 on the North side of the road across from Lowes Home Improvement.
